Swimming Girl!

Dearest Skyler,

Papa took you out to swim this afternoon so that Mama could have a bit of time to study. Mama had had to take care of you the whole morning as Papa had a headache and needed to sleep. Mama was very poor thing too as she wasn’t feeling all that good either. You were the only one that was healthy today, Lil’ One! :p

We spent as long as Papa dared to at the pool and that meant that we ended up being there for one and a half hours! Even so, you refused to leave the pool when Papa wanted to leave! :p Papa then let you be in the pool for another ten minutes before taking you out and you cried and cried and refused to get changed still! But we couldn’t stay in there any longer so Papa had to force you out even though you were so traumatised! So sorry, Lil’ One!

There were several families that came to the pool today. And we saw a few come and go! :D That was how long we stayed there! :D Papa still can’t get you to practise kicking in the water but I guess that will come later. :p

Mama and Papa are so in wonder at how quickly you’ve taken to being in the water and how much you love it so much. You actually choose going to the pool over the zoo, Lil’ One! And when we get here, you simply refuse to leave and will fight against being taken out! :D Please do know that we’ll keep on bringing you back, okay?

It was only after Papa had changed you and himself that you calmed down. It was such a drastic contrast, Lil’ One! :D Oh well! Once we got back to the Duckie Mobile, you immediately fell asleep. I guess all your crying was a result of your being sleepy cranky as you’d not taken a nap the whole day.

After we got home, we showered you and gave you some food before trying to let you nap. You were very tired still. Papa’s headache had also returned and he needed to sleep too.

By the time Papa and you got up, it was very late at night and it took us a very long time and lots of effort before we could get you back to sleep for the night.

You were so totally thrilled by what you’d learnt at the Little Gym this week that you keep on wanting to do the gymnastic moves. You kept on wanting us to help you roll forward, roll backward and do handstands! :D How can we not sign you up for the class? Hmmm… Even at bedtime, you still asked us to help you do them all! :D

When it came time to put you to bed, you insisted on Mama carrying you to sleep and also you drank lots of milk! :D Poor Mama had to carry you for a long time before you went to sleep, Lil’ One!

We love you!

Papa and Mama
