Fish! Fish!
Dearest Skyler,
Papa had to go in to work in the morning today. Papa had intended to stay at home until you woke up as you usually want Papa in the mornings but you were still sleeping when Papa had to leave. Surprisingly, you slept all the way until 10 a.m.! Papa feels so cheated. :D You always wake Papa up so early in the morning and on the day Papa had to wake up early, you wake up late! :D
Anyway, thankfully, you were quite okay with Papa not being around when you woke up. Mama then fed you your milk and took care of you. Soon after you were sleepy again and Mama put you down on your bed and you went back to sleep!
After you got up again, Mama brought you down to Papa’s school to pick him up so that we all could head on down to Sentosa to spend the day there!
(We think you miss the zoo, Lil’ One. When Mama drove past the turn off to the zoo, you kept on saying ‘zoo!’ and you kept on repeating that even after getting to Papa’s school. We’ll bring you to the zoo another time, okay?)
We drove into Sentosa and parked at the same car park that Godma Audrey did when you went there a few weeks ago. In fact, we did exactly the same things that Mama and you did with Godma Audrey then. We headed to the Dolphin Lagoon to catch the dolphin performance before heading to the Underwater World to look at the underwater life there. After that, we went back to the Merlion to have dinner at the deli and caught the ‘Songs of the Sea’ show from a distance. :D
At the Dolphin Lagoon, we watched the trainers put the three pink dolphins that they have through their paces. It was all quite fun as dolphins are such magnificent creatures and they are so agile and sporting. :D The place was quite crowded with tourists.
At the Underwater World, we came across a few peacocks – Mama counted eleven! One of them had fluffed out its tail feathers and looked so magnificent! Then we looked at the giant sea turtles. They were really huge! We also walked around the exhibits on the outside and Papa touched a few rays. They were really smooth skinned! :D
In the Underwater World, the place was quite packed with people! However, the traffic was quite smooth. We stood on the travellator and went around the place looking at the fish and other marine life swimming all around us. You were so excited that you wanted to touch all of them! :D We also caught a couple of divers feeding the big fish! :D We went around the place a couple of times before leaving.
We took the bus back to the fountains at the base of the Merlion. You so like the fountain there. At the base of the Merlion was a deli and we had our dinner there. While waiting for our food to be delivered, Mama let you play with her earphones and you so enjoyed yanking on the cord! :D You kept on laughing when you did that.
You then had some food before getting restless and demanded to go for a walk. Before we did that, we made you pick up the serviette that you had shredded and thrown onto the floor. We cannot litter, okay? It is not right. If you throw things onto the floor, you have to clear it.
We then headed to a good vantage point where we could see the water, light and fireworks display from the ‘Songs of the Sea’ show. When the show ended, we headed back to the Duckie Mobile and came home. You were so sleepy by then that you slept all the way home!
What a fun day! We always enjoy ourselves so much when we spend time together. Sigh… You must always spend lots of time with us, okay?
Papa and Mama love you!
