Zoo with Grandma
Dearest Skyler,
We woke up really late today, Lil’ One. :p It’s not your fault. We’ve been putting you to bed very late the past three nights. So sorry! :p
We all went to the Point to have a dim sum lunch. You were so sleepy by then that we had to come back home to let you have a nap. You’d fallen asleep in the car so Mama had to carry you all the way home while you slept on her shoulder. :D Actually, we all needed a nap so all of us went to bed.
After you woke up, Grandma and Papa brought you to the zoo! :D Mama couldn’t make it as she had some work to do. We made it just in time for the Splash Safari show. Grandma had not seen it before so we decided to watch it. Today, the sealion was not very well-rehearsed so he went through the moves very quickly and the show ended very soon! It was quite funny actually as the presenter had to react constantly to the sealion so quite a bit of the script was left out. :D
After the show, we headed to the tram for a ride around the zoo. While we waited for the tram to set off, Papa brought you to look at the rhinoceroses. It took a while before the tram started. You were once again quite sleepy so you lay down on the seat to rest. Sigh… the tram ride really isn’t worth the cost. The way the zoo has been laid out, there is hardly anything to see from the tram. Oh well…It’s a good thing we are members of the zoo and we get free rides on weekdays. :p
We headed off to the Polar Bear enclosure after the tram ride. Unfortunately, the polar bears had already been taken back to their shelter when we got there so we couldn’t watch them. We thus headed out of the zoo as you were still quite tired.
We of course had to stop off for your customary Milo. :D You kept on wanting it on our way out. :D
After your drink, we headed off to Grandma’s as she would be staying at her home tonight. We had dinner with her before heading back home to Mama. You were such a good girl at the dinner table tonight. You just sat there without making any fuss and had some food. :D
There is one thing Papa wishes you could clarify, Lil’ One. Why do you keep on taking off your new sandals when you’re seated? You take them off in the car, at the dining table, etc. You didn’t do this with your previous pair of sandals and you don’t even try with your shoes. :p Hmmm…
We love you, Lil One!
