"Teeth Doctor "

Dearest Skyler,

Mama read on the Internet last year that the U.S. authorities recommended that babies be brought to see a dentist by their first birthday. However, when we called up our dentist a few months ago, he said that there was no need to bring you to see him till you are about 3.

A few days ago, Mama decided to try again to bring you to a dentist, just to be sure you didn't have any cavities. Mama started looking for a dentist that catered to young babies like you and she managed to find a couple and we made an appointment for you. That appointment was for today!

Coincidentally, today’s The Straits Times also had an article on how the government is planning on having all babies be brought to see a dentist by their first birthday! Wow! What a coincidence! :D

Aunty Chin Chin and her son, Kor-Kor Greg, came for a visit today. Aunty Chin Chin is a very nice lady that Mama used to work with. She and her sons have emigrated to Canada thus it is not easy for Mama to meet up with her.

Kor-Kor Greg was such a great kor-kor! He took such great care of you and you liked him so much! He played the organ with you and other toys as well! :D Later, all of you went to the Point together and again, Kor-Kor Greg took care of you.

As Mama and you stayed at the Point later than planned, Mama and you were too late to pick Papa up from Papa’s workplace! We were to have gone down to the Dentist together. In the end, Papa had to take a taxi to meet up with Mama and you at United Square. :p

You totally cried when the Teeth Doctor tried to check your teeth, Lil’ One! That made it so difficult for him to do anything! :p But what he did manage to do was confirm that your teeth looked okay and that while Mama and Papa are anxious about why some of your teeth have not shown themselves, it is alright. :D

The irony was that while he and his partner are specialized dentists for children, he told us that there was little point for us to have brought you down before you were three years old as you did not have all your teeth yet. Oh well… Never mind, it’s better for us to be safe than sorry. :D

After the visit, while Papa was making payment, Mama told you that the doctor inside is a "teeth doctor". You were so cute! After that, you kept saying "teeth doctor", and you said it so clearly! Well done, Little One!

We then walked around a bit before we met up with Kow-fu and Kow-moh for dinner at Swensen’s. You were so hyper-active tonight. You refused to sit still for long and kept on demanding to walk around. So, all of us took turns to watch you.

After dinner, we took a walk around the shops and, yes, you sat on the kiddy rides again. :D

We love you!

Papa and Mama
