Suntec City

Dearest Skyler,

We finally went back to church again after a two week absence. You were suffering from a bacterial infection followed by a cold that discouraged us from bringing you to church in case the other Mamas and Papas thought that you could infect their own little duckies.

You went for Sunday School this morning. Aunty Angeline came back to help lead the class today after taking a break to have Mei-mei Victoria. You did the usual things for Sunday School today – sing songs, listen to a story, did some colouring and had biscuits for a snack. Aunty Charmaine who shared with us the story of how special you are to Jesus brought a very special box that required a special technique to open. But you are even more special than the box can ever be because you are unique, Lil One. :D

After Sunday School, we went over to Suntec City.

Mama was going to have her haircut and she had requested that her hairdresser do us the favour of trimming your fringe as well. We are totally fearful of ever going to so-called specialist hair dressers who work with young ones like you after our dreadful experience with the one in Junior League just before Chinese New Year.

When we got there, you had fallen asleep so Papa went to buy lunch for Mama and Papa and we ate in the car while waiting for you to wake up. We didn’t want to wake you as you had missed your morning nap and we were afraid that you’d be too tired.

After you woke up, we brought you up to Happy Kidz to drink your milk. They were also giving away candy floss and popcorn so we got some and introduced them to you. You enjoyed the popcorn so much but you were quite apprehensive about the candy floss initially. You refused to eat it until you saw Mama and Papa eat it.

We then brought you to take a ride on a big piggie ride. Mama had to sit with you because it was so huge. You were so thrilled by it. Thankfully, Mama was with you or you would have run into all kinds of things – including the other people around! :D

While Mama was getting her hair cut, Papa brought you for walkies around the mall. Papa then brought you back to Mama when she had completed her hair cut so that you could get your fringe trimmed. You were so totally well-behaved today unlike when you were at Junior League. You allowed the hair dresser to cut your fringe without any hassle whatsoever. Good Girl, Lil One!

Papa was by then so exhausted as you really feel lots heavier now even though the weighing scale says that you’ve not put on any weight at all and Papa had to carry you so much as the place was so crowded. Papa was afraid that you would get trodden on by people who did not see you.

We went for a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Papa finally managed to log in to the Wireless@SG using his phone. Papa had been trying for so long but never succeeded and Papa was wondering if his phone settings were awry or it was something else. Anyway, there was nothing awry. Yay! Mama also took a lot of photos of all of us to make a montage on her phone.

After that, we had dinner at Kenny Rogers Roasters. The chicken was quite small but the side orders were huge portions. You ate so much of the food, Lil One. Papa thinks that you enjoyed the muffin the most!

We then went to Carrefour to buy some groceries before heading home.

You had been awake almost the whole day, Lil One, except for the short nap you had between church and Suntec City. You were so tired by then that you fell asleep immediately when we put you in your car seat. Poor Lil Gal. So sorry that we tired you out. But you were so active throughout the time. And so well behaved!

We love you, Lil One!
