Much Needed Rest
Dearest Little Skyler,
Today is the first day in the longest time that Mama’s home alone with you and does not have to be exhausted or worry about her assignments or exams.
The past few months felt really long for us all. Papa had lots and lots of work to do, and Mama had lots of assignments due. As a result, we have had to enlist the help of friends and relatives to care for you and play with you, something which you clearly did not enjoy because it was being done a bit too frequently. You enjoyed your time with others, but you simply didn’t like the idea that being with other people meant that Mama won’t be around. We’re so sorry, Little One!
Now that Mama’s exams are over, Mama will be around with you a lot more! Isn’t that great?
Mama has plans to do SO many things with you, but today’s agenda is rest and relaxation. We had a good time just playing, reading and watching Blue’s Clues today. We also watched some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse which you’re beginning to love. You’ve started bringing your hands to your mouth to say “Toodles!” and you’re beginning to mimic some of the actions in the songs. You’re such a joy to watch, Skyler!
In the evening, we went to the nearby mall to have dinner with Papa. After dinner, you played with some kiddy rides and we went home after that.
Ah, the joys of being home with you all day, Precious Little One!
