Papa’s Birthday with Grandma
Dearest Baby Girl,
We celebrated Papa’s birthday with Grandma today – sort of. :D
We went for church service this morning and brought Grandma along. We made a concerted effort to be on time today but still were a few minutes late. Well, it may be better next week when our service begins at 10.30 am. :D
You went for your Sunday School with Mama and we are so thankful for your Sunday School teachers; they are so committed and so good with you and the other toddlers / young kids! Oh! Aunty Angeline (che-che Alyssa’s Mama, one of your Sunday School teachers) gave birth to mei-mei Victoria on 20th March 2007. The date is the same as kor-kor Kenji’s! :D
Reverend Ng’s sermon touched on how having salvation does not only mean being saved by Jesus Christ and being assured of going to heaven; it also means that we are able to mend the image of God in us (we are made in God’s image) that has been marred by sin.
After the service, we all trooped down to the nearby Japanese restaurant for Papa’s birthday lunch. We had a good lunch but you were so sleepy that Papa had to carry you to help you fall asleep. Then you refused to sleep in your stroller and Papa had to carry you all the time you were asleep. Everytime Papa tried to put you in your stroller, you would cry and fuss and disturb everyone in the restaurant! :P All the waitresses were quite nice to you. They kept on giving you marshmallow candy and they kept on coming to play with you. :D Papa could only eat after you gave up trying to sleep! :D
After we brought Grandma home, we went off to Vivocity as we had not been there for some time and we wanted to spend some time together as a family. You were so cute! We passed by a Mini Toon shop and you kept on indicating that you wanted to go in. We brought you in and you were so happy! Both of us wondered what you thought the shop was. :D We shopped a bit before heading home.
We love you, Little One!
