Friends of the Zoo & Gathering at Aunty Christina’s
Dearest Little Skyler,
We went to the zoo today and signed up for the Family membership of the Friends of the Zoo. This would allow us to visit the zoo as many times as we want without having to pay again. Actually, the membership was more for Papa and Mama as you enter for free until you’re three years old. But with this membership and our proximity to the zoo, we felt that we would benefit from it as we will probably bring you to the zoo very often this year since you are so much more aware of your surroundings now.
After getting our membership card, we went in to take a look around at the animals near the entrance to the zoo; we saw macaws, otters, a binturong and ghorals. We couldn’t go very into the zoo as we had to rush off to run some chores. Thus, after a quick walk about, we left.
Later, we went to the Toys ‘R’ Us at United Square to buy presents for kor-kor Kenji’s birthday tomorrow and some games for Tuapek’s family to entertain them while they were in Cambodia.
Then we went over to Aunty Christina’s for dinner where we met Godma Audrey, Uncle Henry, Aunty Christina and Uncle Wei Lii with che-ches Debbie and Faith and Aunty Karen and Uncle Heng Yew with che-ches Vera and Shannah.
Aunty Christina blended you some pasta with sauce and grapes. You had a few spoonfuls of that before you didn’t want anymore. We spent the whole evening there and you played with some of the toys and kept on climbing up the few steps of the stairs there! It was so tiring helping you up and down those few steps, Little One! :D
After we had come home, we tried to stop you from biting your thumb but you were so distressed that we gave up. You were crying so piteously! We hope that your thumb will heal soon, Darling.
